DESIGNING FOR A CIRCULAR ECONOMY: RESPONSIBLE END-OF-LIFE
Our responsibility does not end at production. Renouvo materials are engineered for a true circular lifecycle: products that serve their purpose, then safely return to nature without leaving harmful residues.
Unlike first-generation bioplastics such as PLA, which require industrial facilities at >55 °C to decompose, Renouvo’s carbon-negative materials are certified OK compost HOME. They break down at ≤28 °C within 180 days, producing only CO₂, water, and biomass with no microplastic residues.
This ensures our products integrate back into the natural carbon cycle, enriching soil health and closing the loop on captured CO₂.
